Safely transport windows and doors to various locations across the region in accordance to company policies and national regulations. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, ensuring on-time and in perfect condition deliveries. Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts. Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking, break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures. Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and ensure products are securely fastened for transport. Report defects, accidents or violations immediately to ensure prompt action. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customer service to ensure smooth operations. Proven work experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record. Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.). Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly. Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations. Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.). Strong organizational and time management skills. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with A endorsement. No recent moving or driving violations. Preferably certified in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), though not essential.
