Job description Encompass Family Support Services is looking for an Experienced Parent! Encompass Family Support Services provides quality Early Intervention Services to families who have a child ages birth to three who qualify. We are seeking a part-time Experienced Parent. Experienced Parents will support families who have infants in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, have received diagnosis in utero, or are transitioning out of Early Intervention. Experienced Parents will also work alongside Developmental Disability Program Managers (DDPM) and Early Interventionists to provide quality services to families receiving Early Intervention Services. Including an Experienced Parent into our Early Intervention Program ensures that confidentiality is maintained, and all available support is provided to the family with the fewest barriers. Experienced Parent responsibilities: · Be available to provide direct parent to parent emotional and informational support to families through a variety of activies, such as meeting individually with families, phone calls, Individualized Family Service Plan meetings, setting up support groups, family survey, and facilitating parent to parent connections. · Be available to other Early Intervention professionals to provide family-centered experience/perspective and voice throughout Early Interventions Services. · Provide support using their own personal experience and knowledge of the system · Serve as a resource for Disability Development Program Management and Early Intervention, to relay family needs and concerns. · Attend meetings, and trainings deemed appropriate by supervisor The ideal candidate for this position has the following: · Must have a child currently in/or was in Early Intervention · Knowledgeable of community resources, basic knowledge of ND Early Intervention System · Able to work remotely · Has a passion for advocating for children and families (approx. 60hrs/month) Job Type: Part-time Salary: From $18.00 per hour Work Location: Multiple Locations
