Cass County Vector Control is seeking seasonal supervisors to lead one of our four mosquito control crews. This is more than a job-it's a mission to reduce nuisance mosquitoes, lessen disease threats, and promote environmental health. Role: Lead Vector Field Aide Location: West Fargo, ND Pay: $21.34–$23.38/hr, based on experience, skill, and knowledge Schedule: Full-time, seasonal (Mon–Thurs, 6:00 AM–4:45 PM; occasional evenings) Your Day-to-Day: As our Lead Vector Field Aide, you'll oversee a team of field aides and direct operations to mitigate mosquito populations while safeguarding public health. Responsibilities include implementing integrated pest management protocols-surveillance, larviciding, and adulticiding-while ensuring treatments are environmentally responsible. You'll also manage data collection for disease management, educate residents on mosquito reduction, and enforce safety standards. By reducing nuisance mosquitoes and minimizing disease transmission risks, this role provides essential services to Cass County residents. Ideal Candidate: High school diploma or GED 18 years of age Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and walk on uneven terrain Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Having post-secondary coursework in biology or a related science field is a plus. Any experience in management, training, or coaching is also a bonus! Although not required, this role would be an amazing opportunity for those who have experience with ATV/UTV riding, pesticide handling/applying, spray equipment operation, insect research, separating and identifying different adult mosquito species, and sampling standing water.
