Job Title: CT/Radiologic Technologist Profession: Radiologic Technologist Specialty: CT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Days Hours per Shift: 9 hours Experience: 1 year preferred License: Required Certifications: BLS Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have Skills: Experience in both X-ray and CT is required. Travel experience is preferred but not required. Description: The position requires working in a department that handles a wide range of imaging studies and a diverse patient population. Daily tasks include performing general X-rays, pain examinations with C-arms, and CT scans. Responsibilities also include sending studies to the radiologist for review and completing associated paperwork. The department is equipped with one CT scanner, one mobile X-ray unit, one general X-ray unit, one mammography machine, and one C-arm. There may be a need to float to cover both CT and general X-ray areas. An average of approximately 20 exams are conducted each weekday. The team uses McKesson PACS and MediTech for electronic medical records and picture archiving. Starting IVs is a required duty. The schedule includes four 9-hour shifts per week with rotating on-call duties during nights, weekends, and holidays. Response time for on-call duty is expected to be within 30 minutes. Orientation will consist of 4 to 8 shifts or until comfortable taking call independently. Scrubs are required, and there are no specific color requirements, although scrubs are not provided. Candidates should be aware of a radius rule prohibiting full-time, part-time, or PRN positions with affiliated facilities within the past year.
