Xerox Corporation in Bolingbrook , Illinois has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Generalist.

The Warehouse Generalist is responsible for handling the delivery of office technology equipment to customer locations two to five days per week. When not performing deliveries, the incumbent will assist in all other warehouse functions including but limited to, unloading all inbound shipments, distributing stock to proper location, ship supplies and parts to all company locations and maintaining the cleanliness of the warehouse dock and facility. This is a full-time, Monday-Friday position.

The Warehouse Generalist will be expected to :

  • Routinely demonstrates and creates a helpful and positive work culture
  • Encourages and builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with all co-workers and outside customers and vendors.
  • Always conducts themselves, as the public image of the company in accordance with Xerox's Code of Conduct.
  • Operate Company Box Trucks (ranging 16'-26') in accordance with company policies and procedures and IL state traffic laws.
  • Assists shipping and receiving, loading and unloading trucks, checking in merchandise, and matching purchase orders to sale orders.
  • Verifies all piece counts, notes damage and discrepancies, record all serial numbers, and turns in documentation to Inventory Control.
  • Examine orders to determine items to be pulled, moved, gathered, or distributed.
  • Prepare parcels for shipping via US Mail, UPS, etc.
  • Move materials and items from receiving or storage areas to stocking or other designated areas.
  • Sort and place materials or items on shelves or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color or product.
  • Maintain organized filing system for shipments received or disbursed.
  • Ensure warehouse and work area is organized and maintained in secure, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Mark equipment with identifying information using appropriate method.
  • Assist in counting physical inventory one time per fiscal quarter.
  • May be assigned facilities maintenance duties as needed (e.g. snow shoveling, furniture moving, etc).
  • Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs.

Job Qualification Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Possess a valid Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Report showing clean driving history.
  • Possess experience driving/operating 16-26' box trucks required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Physical Requirements :

  • Must be able to lift 50-75lbs. repetitively.

Job Qualification Desired Skillsets:

  • Three months or more related business experience or training is desired.
  • CDL preferred but not required.
  • Candidate must pass required pre-employment drug screening and be able and willing to become DOT certified.
  • Knowledge of warehouse/inventory and equipment set-up desired.
  • Experience working in a warehouse environment desired.
  • Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • Need to be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
  • Completes a variety of atypical assignments.
  • Demonstrated maturity and stability in a work environment.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solve.
  • Employment Criminal Background Check, Drug Screen and Education Verification required if offered the position.
