The Payroll Specialist#audits time and attendance reports; processes garnishment/support payment requests; reviews payroll reports; resolves questions on pay checks and processes manual and void checks; verifies payroll deduction registers; coordinates calculation and submission of federal payroll tax deposits; prepares state payroll tax reports; prepares quarterly federal tax reports; communicates with government agencies; reviews payroll publications and information; prepares other payroll related reports and coordinates submission of W-2 reports.# Required: #Associates Degree in Accounting - Required,# Bachelor#s in accounting # Preferred Certified Payroll Professional certification, preferred or willing to obtain in first year 3 years payroll experience in moderate/complex payroll environment Knowledge of mainframe and PC computer systems, specifically Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, and Access). • Associates Degree in Accounting - Required,
• Bachelor's in accounting - Preferred
• Certified Payroll Professional certification, preferred or willing to obtain in first year
• 3 years payroll experience in moderate/complex payroll environment
