Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a dedicated Cook to join our Food & Beverage team, dedicated to providing nutritious and well-balanced meals to the communities we serve. This role is pivotal in ensuring that all individuals who come through our centers receive meals that are not only healthy but also prepared with the highest standards of safety and care. Our ideal candidate shares our passion for community wellness and understands the significance of dietary needs in overall health. Prepare daily meals according to the menu planned with the dietary needs of the center's visitors in mind. Ensure all foods are stored and prepared safely adhering to health regulations and company standards. Collaborate with nutritionists and other health professionals to tailor meals that support specific health requirements of clients. Manage kitchen inventory and place orders for supplies maintaining budget guidelines. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and dining areas. Train and oversee kitchen staff on proper handling and preparation of food, safety procedures, and customer service. Proficiency in various cooking techniques and types of cuisine Strong understanding of nutritional principles Excellent organizational and time-management skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k ServSafe Food Handler certification or equivalent
