We are currently seeking a Cook to join our team, dedicated to providing nutritious meals aimed at benefiting the health and wellness of our patients and staff members within our community care facility. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and a strong adherence to safety and hygiene standards, backed by a clear understanding of nutritional needs in healthcare settings. This role involves meal preparation, menu planning in accordance with dietary requirements, and ensuring all kitchen operations align with health and safety regulations. Preparation of breakfast, lunch, and dinner meals following strict nutritional guidelines Plan and develop menus considering varied dietary needs and preferences Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, adhering to all health and hygiene standards Inventory control and kitchen supplies management Cooperate with healthcare professionals to plan and implement specific dietary requirements Conduct regular kitchen equipment checks and maintenance Train and mentor kitchen staff on proper food handling and preparation techniques Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques and kitchen equipment Knowledge of nutrition and dietary needs specific to healthcare Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Food Safety Certification required ServSafe certification highly preferred
