working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in
Valley City, North Dakota, 58072! Job Title: Telemetry Registered
Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Med/Tele/Swing
Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift:
36 hours per week Experience: Minimum 1 year License: Required
Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - IV starts - Telemetry - NG
tube insertion - Foley catheter insertion Description: Department:
Med-Tele Acute/Obs and Swingbed Number of Beds: 19 Nurse to Patient
Ratios: 1:3-6 Common Diagnoses/Types of Patients: - Pneumonia -
Rehabilitation - COPD - CHF - Pancreatitis - GI bleed RNs are not
required to titrate drips. There is no charge nurse on each shift.
RNs will have assistance from a CNA per shift, who will handle
personal cares, vitals, and weights. RNs need to be competent in
setting up and using BiPap, Cpap, and HFNC equipment. RNs are
required to read their own telemetry strips. The telemetry monitors
used are Mindray brand. Shifts include 7 am to 7 pm and 7 pm to 7
am with team scheduling. Weekend requirements include every other
weekend. Holiday requirements include every other holiday. There is
no call or standby requirement. RNs may be part of the code team on
this floor. This floor values teamwork and has a positive culture.
Key attributes for success include being dependable, caring,
knowledgeable, and flexible. Floating may be required to Med/Tele
Acute/Obs/Swingbed areas. RNs need to wear their own scrubs of any
color. RNs on this unit may have additional specific orientation
shifts to acclimate to the department. The number of shifts for
unit/department specific orientation typically ranges between 3-4.
