Job Description:

Good Samaritan Health Center seeks a dedicated and experienced Director of Nursing to lead our nursing department, ensuring the delivery of excellent nursing care while managing the needs of our underserved communities. The Director of Nursing will be a pivotal figure in integrating holistic health practices into day-to-day operations, aligning with our vision of improving health and wellness outcomes in the communities we serve. This role involves strategic planning, staff management, and compliance with healthcare regulations to upgrade patient care standards and efficiency. Oversee the nursing staff and manage the daily operations of the nursing department. Develop and implement nursing department policies and objectives to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Collaborate with other healthcare leaders to establish effective patient care programs, focusing on quality and efficiency. Promote a holistic approach to patient care integrating physical, emotional, and spiritual health aspects. Manage budgeting and resource allocation for the nursing department. Ensure the professional development and training of nursing staff to improve skill levels and job satisfaction. Lead efforts in obtaining and maintaining healthcare accreditations and licenses. Monitor patient care for quality assurance and implement improvements where necessary. Strong leadership and organizational skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. In-depth knowledge of healthcare regulations and hospital management. Ability to handle high-stress situations and make decisions under pressure. Proficiency in healthcare management systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Certification in nursing administration or management (such as Certified Nurse Manager and Leader - CNML or similar). BLS/ACLS certification preferred.
