About The Position We are seeking an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner specializing in Urgent Care for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in North Dakota. This opportunity begins on Jan 5, 2026, with a steady weekday schedule—Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm—no late nights, weekends, or federal holidays. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of FNP experience, proven walk-in/urgent care expertise, and a background in IHS or rural health settings. Job Details - Location: North Dakota - Start Date: Jan 5, 2026 - LOA: 60 days - Provider Type Needed: Urgent Care Family Nurse Practitioner - Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm; no late nights, no weekends, closed on every federal holiday Responsibilities and Duties - Provide urgent care and walk-in clinical services to patients across the lifespan - Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute medical conditions - Deliver patient care in an IHS or rural health setting - Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care - Maintain accurate and timely patient records using the RPMS EMR system - Adhere to established clinical protocols and quality standards Additional Information - Minimum five years of experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner required - Prior walk-in/urgent care experience required - Experience in IHS or rural health settings required - Basic Life Support (BLS) and DEA certification required - Board certification in Family Medicine required - Licensure to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in any state accepted Benefits - Strong compensation - Travel-related expenses covered - A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided - Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
