Position Highlights:

• Student Loan Repayment: This position is eligible for Avera's Student Loan Repayment Program, which helps you pay off your loans and save money. Each month an extra payment of $167 (up to $10,000) from Avera will help pay down your principal balance faster.

  • Provide care and management of patients with anxiety, depression, mental illness, and detoxification from alcohol and drugs on the inpatient Behavioral Health Unit.
  • Work closely with care team of psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, social workers, chaplaincy, counselors and techs.
  • Coordinate care in collaboration with patients, family, physicians and other nursing staff.
  • Identify patient and family learning needs and develop an educational plan.
  • Demonstrate effective verbal, oral and written communication skills. Education and/or Experience
    • Graduate of Registered Nursing Education program. Licensure/Certification/Registration
      • South Dakota RN License and/or meeting licensure criteria
      • BLS (Basic Life Support)
      • CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) Work Schedule
        • Hours:
          • 7:00am-7:30pm, 7:00pm-7:30am; 48hrs/2wks Pay
            
            The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
