Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-Hour Day/Night Rotate Hours per Shift:
12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU RN experience License:
Current RN License in a compact state or equivalent Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience in
a facility with 250 beds. Experience titrating vasopressor drips.
Description: Candidates must call in each day prior to their shift
to know which critical care unit or location they will be working.
Experience managing 1-3 critically ill patients with various
conditions including neuro, cardiac, surgical, trauma, and medical
cases is required. Candidates should have the ability to manage
titratable drips such as vasopressors, sedatives, analgesics, and
inotropics. Assistance with bedside procedures including rapid
sequence intubation, external ventricular drain placement,
tracheostomy, line placement, and other diagnostic tests may be
required. Experience with EPIC EMR, automated dispensing cabinets,
IV pumps, feeding pumps, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and patient
monitoring systems is important. Ability to care for critically ill
patients independently is essential. Float to medical-surgical
units may be required as needed. The nurse to patient ratio is 1
nurse to 2 patients. Total orientation includes 32 hours, which
encompasses various departments. All clinicians must badge in and
out of the facility. Scrub color is navy blue. Cancellation policy
allows clients to cancel up to 12 hours every 13 weeks. 5 Benefits
